Silver Wooden Ring With Cross and Shells

I am wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year!

I agree, it has been a very long time since my last post. But I haven't been exactly sitting around, either. I have been working on many exciting and extraordinary projects.

One of these projects: designing and constructing a custom sterling silver ring with wood, cross and shells. The dark red wood is mahogany and has been applied using epoxy. I have cast the shells and cross separately. Six welding points connect the shells to the shank.

Take a look at this series of images that illustrate the entire process from initial conception of the idea to casting, assembling and finishing of the ring. The first three drawings and illustrations have been provided by Director Mick Traen. Visit his website here.
